- bigbartabs: @Onthemark $XBI $LABU ... yes, I've traded 3x ETF LABU (and many others) off and on for years. However when the indexes take off like they have, I concentrate on the index 3x ETFs. Much easier to plow a lot more and bigger dollars into the indexes when they are performing so well. Trying to keep up with 20 or so 3x sector ETFs vs 4 3x index ETFs is easier to track, and to apply a lot more dollars due to their relative stability day to day. I've currently got big positions in $SPXL $TNA $UDOW. I'm out of $TQQQ until it perks up again. FWIW... all the best.

- woodman: $IBB $XBI - Biotech, already a suffering sector, is getting crushed on news of the braindrain as smart people are forced to resign from the FDA due to its takeover by anti-science leadership. At the same time, government funding that is vital to the discovery of important new drugs and biologics has been and continues to be taken away. The sector is untouchable except for shorts/fast traders.

Lives are at risk, and we are already seeing it in real time with Measles outbreaks around the country due to disinformation casting doubt about vaccines and pushing Vitamin A as a purported substitute to treat and protect against Measles. Kids are now appearing in hospitals with both Measles and Vitamin A toxicity.

You are correct that there is non-zero chance of severe side effects with the covid vaccine. From a Google Search Labs result (which may or may not be correct because AI is way too often inaccurate, unfortunately - that's a whole other discussion) - Rare, severe side effects: Hospitalization due to COVID-19 vaccine side effects has been very uncommon, occurring in only 0.3% of cases. Severe allergic reactions: Severe allergic reactions have also been rare, occurring in approximately 0.6% of those vaccinated.The measles vaccine, which it what I had been discussing, works and is safe. I had to back out of Member/ Member last week because of back issues . Did play this sat with son and some of his buddies. 39-35 so I was pleased considering haven’t been able to practice. We did have some swing oil that made it beetle on my back . Going to the pain Dr Wednesday. I have lumbar arthritis and Lunbar Stenosis. Basically nerve damage and shoots down leg . I told chiropractor I am too young to not play golf so somebody , somehow is gonna make it better .Younger brother has same issues . Mom had bad arthritis. Anyway I have always stayed in shape gym wise so hopefully Pain Dr can help .

Currently but riding the two big boys along with $COIN after curtailing $NFLX but have taken a chapter from your book on trading wisdom and am in $TQQQ, $SOXL, $TNA, and started a small position in $LABU ($XBI has to hold the 50ma). Other than $COIN, and due to its volatility, I feel those two are less maintenance, especially due to the technical set up. Thanks again for all your posts. Cheers.

I do that all the time... to scalp the strong single stocks that are moving day to day. Then when the flow of big money slows into the indexes... the best single tickers stand out for us to pile into (and that all the big smart traders are using in volume as well), until the indexes take off again. Over and over again. Good show my friend!

I had a pretty hefty $LABU position; glad I sold some for profit, and then the rest at a breach of the 8ema. I notice as well that the QQQ's are breaking below the 21dma at the moment. The 50ma may now be in order. Very small $TQQQ remaining to which I'll say adios if it doesn't hold. And so it goes...cheers.

- phgruver: @Mckirdie12 Look at $XHB and $XBI. They are just idling along the 50DMA, well below their recent highs. Long term, they will probably work OK, but there's no "alpha", i.e. out performance. Keep an eye on them, but there's better places to put your money right now (including holding it as cash).

- woodman: #Biotech stinking up the joint. $XBI hit the overhead 50d and has fallen back to the 8d/21dEMA. $ARDX gap-filling downward. My position is on the lighter side (relative to prior positions in ARDX), but I will load back up on this drop, particularly if it fills the entire gap. I'm letting it play out. $VKTX following the general biotech path down as it is ailing after some consolidation, today falling down through the 8dEMA and testing the 21dEMA. I am a big believer in both ARDX and VKTX and I have consolidated / will further consolidate my biotech dollars in these two, with all others a fraction of them. They are long term for me, though I do some trading around cores.

- sierramp: Added to $XBI after comparing to $LABU (3X Bull). With stop in same place on the chart on both stocks I could only get 1/3 the amount of $LABU compared with $XBI and $LABU has a 1% fee. With both though, looks like a bottom or bounce off the 50D. Pick your poison.

My thinking was 3 bucks a little over 1 year ago and the only reason it was at these levels was shorts getting shaken out that were too greedy to cover when this was in the single digits. Now I know it does not matter. I just keep hearing Dan saying a stock is worth what the market will pay for it. Even if the traders don't want to pay or are forced to the price action is the same. Good early call on GLD when it was around 188. I missed this one and don't want to chase it.

- woodman: $XBI flag above long-standing resistance back to early 2022. That resistance area has been a multi-top area for a long time. It's now hitting the overhead 200 week. But on the daily, it's nothing but space above with tons of room to move higher. Its ath was all the way back in Feb 2021.
