E not bad, just that growth slowed, for now, with intl. starting. Today's low was about 63.6% retracement from Mar.-May double top at $99, now at 61.8% Fib level. BTW, one reason we look at these levels and sma/ema ma is because others particularly algos do as support triggers.

TraderGeekSam: ...
$CELH (down almost 5%) and $CRWD (down another 4%) are bucking the bullish opening. $VZ reported earnings and is down nearly 4% on a revenue miss. Hopefully, no one was betting on a positive earnings report from foreign airline Ryanair Holdings PLC ... - chunlow: @TraderGeekSam $VIX $FSLR $SEDG $ENPH $TAN $MSOS $ANF $CELH $CRWD $VZ $RYAAY $SPX $TOST $PLTR Thanks for your thoughts, Sam
- shoredriver: $CELH...more pffft...np
- joelsg1: $CELH Wall St. Journal hit piece on energy drinks and eating disorders, plus Cowen cuts to $68. No bueno. https://www.wsj.com/tech/personal-tech/young-women-with-eating-disorders-are-overdoing-it-with-energy-drinks-e82981e3
- joelsg1: $CELH Interesting that $BROS is not getting hit with posted Journal piece on ultra caffeinated energy drinks like $CELH which really need to push out a light-caff and no-caff alternative, particularly in hot summer months where it's too much to chug these to hydrate. I think that's slowing sales growth more than anything. Tempted on a possible swing trade, but now below the 200d so keep hearing "Nothing good happens below the 200d".
- joelsg1: $CELH MS sees YoY growth slowing to 20%, and those Gary Brecka videos about vitamin B12 containing harmful cyanide levels (false) affecting retail demand. July $70 puts working as stock declines.
- SusanW: @joelsg1 $CELH Are you still keeping any LT stock or did you sell? I read that another power drink was doing clinical tests on whether their drink can help replace muscle mass lost with the diet drugs. 20% growth is a very large loss for the company. I hate to sell down in the 50's but it can always go lower. Not sure what I will do.
- joelsg1: @SusanW $CELH Sold half at break of 50d around $80 but still hold above my avg. cost in the $40s. Hedged up the wazoo with short upside calls and those puts, but clearly haven't traded this well, should have closed entire pos. Noted price drops retail and at Costco supports growth slowing, though margins and eps should be good. I think support at $50 Dec. lows, if that breaks I'm all out.
- SusanW: @joelsg1 $CELH I just spoke to my broker who is in this and is buying more. Feeling is to weather the storm and that the company will do well. At least better than where it is . You and I have been chatting about this stock for a while lol. I own 1700 shares from 2020. I've sold along the way but am very long.
- SusanW: $CELH I just watched the CEO on CNBC and was very underwhelmed. I was listening for him to say something to drive the stock and didn't hear anything new. Did anyone hear it?
- joelsg1: $CELH At ISI conference yesterday, mgmt. said $PEP inventory reductions continued Q2, a bit more than Q1. Today, analysts reduce rev ests. and targets MS to $68, Wedbush $83, Stifel $85.
- Onthemark: $CELH breaking down below recent support (np)
- SusanW: @Onthemark $CELH I don't know why this is behaving so badly. So is $PEP. I have a pretty big position and this hurts. But it usually bounces back. we will see.
- joelsg1: @SusanW $CELH $PEP Almost touched 200d today, but not quite. Hopefully maintains that support. I trimmed now much higher and said the easy money has been made, but the growth still intact.
- SusanW: @joelsg1 $CELH $PEP I just watched a video explaining the stocking issues with PEP and that as you say the very fast growth might be moderating . Nothing wrong with the stock and as they go international we might see more volume and profit. I have it in a taxable account so I want to hold this as long as it doesn't start to fail more. Maybe they can claim it's beneficial with the weight loss drugs. Maybe PEP will buy it but must say the chart is bad.
- joelsg1: @SusanW $CELH $PEP Nice bounce near the 200d and turning. Problem with $PEP buying more than it has now is the conflict with its Gatorade brand, so they may not want to expand $CELH beyond the energy drink category which would limit growth forward. Interesting that CELH is using non-PEP like Suntory for intl.
- Zimzala: $CELH Got filled at $71.50.
- SusanW: Is there any news on $CELH.?
- joelsg1: @SusanW $CELH Large distributions to founder's heirs and apparently they sold tanking stock for last 6 days (along with selloffs in other high flyers), but now way oversold. Had some st $70 puts as hedge, but now out of those, but looking for resumption of uptrend to add.
- SusanW: @joelsg1 $CELH Thank you for the info
- Motorman: $Celh upgrade by Stifel, yet stock down 11%
- joelsg1: @Motorman $Celh Note the volume. No news as yet, but must be insiders selling.
- Motorman: @joelsg1 $Celh thanks, I have looking for opportunity to get back in. Started small. Off the 50 day.
- Kid2old: $CELH The 31 May 95 Call option volume is 26,366 (open interest is 706)
- SusanW: @joelsg1 $Celh The fall in this stock is breathtaking. I am waiting to see what happens by end of day but this is a big gap to fill. $PEP is down also.
- Bsielingtx: @SusanW $Celh $PEP - MS came out with a note that growth appears to be slowing along with market share dropping. Stifel did raise price target from 85 to 95
- Vineet: @joelsg1 $CELH - wondering if you have any thoughts as to this massive drop...
- joelsg1: @Vineet $CELH Yes. First thought it was insider selling, but now see a MS negative note from its analyst who has been wrong forever maintaining his $75 target but noting a supposed single digit decline in triple digit YoY growth rate and a slight price decline. But like @Dan told us this am, why stick with a slowing growth story when you can buy $NVDA. So it's a high volume source of funds story too. I've made a boatload on the way up, hedged with short covered otm calls, and I might add a spread or 2 here but better at $65 200d if we get there. Still a huge growth story, but the easy money has been made and apparently cashed out. And MS analyst cites latest Nielsen data, but that does not include growing intl., Costco, AMZN or food service (restaurants and arenas). Picked up a few 6/21 atm calls.
- joelsg1: @joelsg1 $CELH $NVDA Should add that they filed for a mixed-shelf offering on Thursday May 16, giving them max flexibility if they want to raise more capital or funnel insider sales into a block offering, or both. So that was first thing I referenced when I saw the drop this am. Also a loose rumor that someone had liver problems from the green tea extract drinking 2 cans per day, sounds like BS identifying that specific ingredient.
- joelsg1: @SusanW $Celh $PEP Support at the 200d $65 but doubt it gets there. See my posts today why. Added some June $81 calls.
- Vineet: @joelsg1 $CELH $NVDA thanks for your in depth answer...exiting my spec for couple $$
- camaro69: @joelsg1 $Celh $PEP Nice bounce off the bottom. still 12% for insider sell seems overdone
- joelsg1: @Vineet $CELH $NVDA You’re welcome. Feel a special responsibility with this one which I brought to the Forum long time ago. Never a mistake taking profits, so Congrats. I do think the growth continues and thus am buying this dip, but not large, as I said think the easiest money has been made and cashed in. Might have pivot points into and through successive Es with increasing eps.
- joelsg1: $CELH Exceeded all time closing high earlier and pb, taking off hedged shorts.
- joelsg1: $CELH Rolled short $90 covered calls up/out.
- Onthemark: a few notable gainers holding Long: $CELH, $MLCO, $LABU and $ARM
- joelsg1: $CELH Took more partials, closed Friday's call spreads.
- SusanW: @joelsg1 $CELH I have not sold any recently. I am not sure when is a good time to trim, but I am looking at the 90s. Pepsi is running as well. Are you still long? Reviewers seem to still love this stock.
- joelsg1: @SusanW $CELH I'm long, short and trimmed today and last few days. Oscillators like MACD and PMO have bulIish crossovers but I watch the RSI, as it approaches 70 like now, I trim profitable positions.
- scottrades: $CELH Big move though the 50 Day
- joelsg1: @scottrades $CELH Must be delayed reaction to gaining 5% Canadian market share in 1Q.
- joelsg1: $CELH Took partials, Golden Rule in effect.
- scottrades: @joelsg1 $CELH I helped their profits when I bought 3 cans
- Motorman: $CELH some weakness after ER yesterday. NP
- joelsg1: $CELH Rev. missed expectations on $PEP reduced inventory build, eps and margins beat, added small at $71. Call at 10et.
- joelsg1: @joelsg1 $CELH $PEP E call done. Other than $PEP inventory adjustments beyond control, looks good, becoming margin and eps increase story vs pure rev growth, although revs increasing 50% YoY w/o PEP inventory adjustments (up Q4, but down Q1) with intl. expansion ramping. Jefferies keeps at $107 target with big margins beat, and others will probably raise.
- joelsg1: $CELH Last full trading day as E tomorrow Before open. Implied move about $9.50 from here. Holding through with cushion as E trades on $TMDX and $ASPN worked last week while I was gone and continuing today. Long shares and spreads.
- Onthemark: Longs doing well today: $CELH, $LLY, $DKNG, $CAVA and $GTLS
- joelsg1: $CELH Latest 4 wk data shows taking share up 63% YoY not including $AMZN, $COST and other, while the competition shrinks, plus a 4% price increase and a full Q of Canada rollout. St. expects $390M revs, actual could be 10% higher. Don't sleep on this into E 5/7 (you can't anyway too much caffeine :) Quite long.
- joelsg1: $CELH $PEP CEO talked up pshp with $CELH on E call this am. Separately, B. Riley reiterated $110, sees long runway ahead. Turning but a day plus does not a tradeable trend make. Long from below, short covered calls way above.

- joelsg1: $CELH HOD. Added atm May call spreads capturing 5/7 E (before) for my typical 1-3 risk/reward.
- joelsg1: $CELH Expands European distribution into France late this year into next. Quoting Bill Murray "It's Suntory time."
- vitoB: @joelsg1 $CELH …just need some cans showing up at the Olympics coverage
- joelsg1: @vitoB $CELH I love their CEO cheerleading the brand. Whenever he's on tv he's wearing the shirt, drinking a can with a big smile pumping.
- joelsg1: $CELH Maxim raises target from $100 to $110 after mgmt presentation, raises rev. forecasts. Holding with big cushion and looking to add under $80 as we get closer to 5/7 E.
- joelsg1: $CELH Nielsen data through 3/9 shows continuing growth, retail up 75% YoY w/o online, $AMZN and $COST, food service or burgeoning intl., and with a 4.7% price increase. Bodes well for E 5/7 when we'll probably hear details about amendment to $PEP distribution deal which has crushed stock since announced. Long and looking to add.
- joelsg1: @joelsg1 $CELH $AMZN $COST $PEP Took a new spread starter, May $83.33-$100s. Always buy options in even quantities so I can manage the trade.
- joelsg1: $CELH Amends distribution deal to provide $PEP more incentives for promoting CELH products. Posted tension between PEP's Gatorade and CELH products, so adjusting incentives makes sense, but knee-jerk stock getting crushed. Opportunity to close some hedged short calls.
- SusanW: @joelsg1 $CELH $PEP I am not sure why $CELH is taking such a beating. They renegotiated a deal with PEP that I hope was beneficial to both companies. The street doesn't think so I guess.
- joelsg1: @SusanW $CELH $PEP All the high priced stocks getting hit today, this one over 40% above the 200d with over 80 forward P/E so due for correction. Don't help that they released no details on the $PEP amendment, so imaginations running rampant that they're giving away too much. Jefferies raised from $105 to $107 and the intl. rollout looks good.
- joelsg1: $CELH Stabilizing back above 8d, after 2 days below. Intl. expansion continues, now Australia and New Zealand. Long w/ upside call hedges.
- joelsg1: $SNPS $CDNS Both ATHs. $CELH HOD
- Geewhiz: $CELH And your bubbly trade on $CELH has been quite good for me. Thank you.
- joelsg1: $CELH Catching a bid trying to regain 8d, strong retail numbers continue 85% YoY with 4% price increase (not including AMZN , COST and service like stadiums, colleges), bodes well for next E 5/7.
- joelsg1: $CELH Too windy to travel through Sierra now. So taking partials and closed a few short calls. Past few day's action makes me wonder whether $PEP is planning to exercise its convert option or perhaps buyout whole company. There is undeniable tension between CELH's expansion plans and PEP's Gatorade product line. PEP's 2022 investment of $550M was priced at $75 per share with a 5% annual preferred divi., so given that's the floor for stock, wonder why shorts wouldn't cover, which could also explain this week's action. Congrats to everyone in with me over many posts. This 'dog' hunts.
- joelsg1: @joelsg1 $CELH $PEP Whoops, that $75 number was pre-split value of PEP's investment as of 8/1/22, so $25 post 3-1 split. Not sure of the conversion price.
- Motorman: @joelsg1 $CELH $PEP thanks for info. Just holding. Have not looked at chart. Maybe take some profits. Or write some calls.
- woodman: $CELH - congrats @joelsg1 !
- joelsg1: @woodman $CELH Yessir! Been on the road drinking the Peach so that's why ATH, again.
- joelsg1: $CELH ATH, rolled up/out all short calls.
- joelsg1: $CELH Still going though just fell below the upper BB, closed well itm April call spreads for 4-bagger.

- debeers: $CELH-down 4.84% pre. Of course balanced against this is that they were up 18% ytd
- joelsg1: $CELH Boom!
- SusanW: I just sold a little of my LT position on $CELH I will soon be playing with the houses money. What a ride!!!!
- joelsg1: @SusanW $CELH I trimmed calls, rolled short strikes for credit, and intend to exercise way itm March $50 calls. Don't need the caffeine this am.
- MongosPawn: @SusanW $CELH Congratulations!
- joelsg1: $CELH I brought this here a while ago and am quite long (and hedged), but be careful after this big runup which furthered the $60 bo from 2 weeks ago. The Estate of the late founder is probably not finished selling yet to raise cash to please heirs (think Succession) and this level has got to look attractive, and once the executors start selling again they'll keep at it to achieve a better avg. selling price which they'll present to Court. On the other hand, short squeeze. I took partials and rolled up/out short strikes for credit.
- joelsg1: $CELH Last chance, E before open.
- joelsg1: @joelsg1 $CELH Though did take off a few March $65 calls for a 4-bagger in discipline.
- joelsg1: $CELH Pushing all time closing high at $68.33, E Thursday Before open, currently implied move around $7.50. Large short interest shown. Long.
- joelsg1: $CELH Waking up towards $69 lid, E Thursday, Riley reiterates $82.33, implied move about $8.50, quite long.

- joelsg1: $CELH Keeps on Choogling, Stifel raises to $67 sees "conservative" 99% sales growth YoY to continue. Estate sales seem to be winding down, Long and rolled up/out a bunch of covered calls.
- joelsg1: $CELH Strong out of the gate on big volume through that posted $60 lid and holding above, closed remainder of Friday calls for double.
- joelsg1: $CELH Another strong bounce off 8d environs to green.
- joelsg1: $CELH Rejected at first tap today at $60 which has been a lid. If this breaks through and holds close, could ramp more into E 3/6. Long shares, calls and spreads.
- joelsg1: $CELH Trimmed half of Friday's $51.67 calls for near double. Still plenty long and laddered calls around E supposedly 3/6.
- joelsg1: $CELH Small add. Nielsen data strong even with $PEP deal overlapping comps up 88% growth YoY.
- joelsg1: $CELH Popping back above 50/20d on better volume. Estate selling pursuant to forward contract options seems to be tapering off, no doubt heirs have wanted cash pending distributions. Long shares, calls and spreads but no new adds, yet.
- joelsg1: $CELH Back above 200d as it converges with 50d. At some point founder's estate's selling will abate, but unclear when. 16% short interest obviously front-running these sales (a tale as old as time--see Musk $TSLA). Could ramp into E 2/28, Long.
- shoredriver: @joelsg1 $CELH $TSLA ..EW shows earnings 3/6 before...
- joelsg1: @shoredriver $CELH $TSLA saw that, Zacks 3/6, Schwab 2/28.
