- StockMarketMentor: $META -- This is indeed rebounding off the 50-day moving average. It's looking to me like Tuesday's gap and reverse below the 50-day moving average was a bit of a shakeout and the stock is resuming its uptrend. If it's too tight, the odds of getting stopped out are pretty high. But a stop below yesterday's low puts it back barely below the 50-day moving average. StockMarketMentor: Good morning. Futures are up this morning after some monster quarterly earnings reports from Microsoft ($MSFT) and Meta Platforms ($META).
Meta reported revenue growth YoY (year over year) +22%. Advertising rose by ~9% and daily active users gre ... - StockMarketMentor: $MSFT is pulling back on profit taking and that's impacting $FNGU, which is also starting to fill some of the gap. On the other hand, $META continues to run higher. So, there is a clear bifurcation between these two stocks. $META has more to run, $MSFT has some backing and filling to do. $QCOM -- bad earnings report and lousy open. But the stock is now back above the 50-day moving average. You can see clear support at $150ish. No position. --Dan

- woodman: #Power Supply - I talk a lot about the small and big nuclear power producers, as of course all this AI and Quantum Computing needs massive amounts of power, but there's a real problem with very low supply of power supply equipment. It's not just nuclear reactors/power itself to think about, but transformers, power equipment, cooling equipment, construction, etc. I read that Schneider Electric is booked all the way to 2030 and it isn't negotiating on price. So, all of this makes it hard for companies that do want to spend huge amounts on power generation - e.g., $META looking to massively increase AI infrastructure and spending on that - may not be able to do it due to these limitations. It's an interesting problem and one about which perhaps we can think out of the box for stocks.

As you are suggesting there is a need for consulting services to build these things, and recently found this one $WLDN running up the 8d, but haven't pulled the trigger (yet?) due to 50d average daily volume less than 300k, though it has been increasing. - billyzeke: Bought some $META at 700. It closed that tiny gap at 698.50 and has reversed. It also got an upgraded price target this morning but no one seemed to care. I'll keep it on a tight leash.
- WhitePath: @bigbartabs $APP Very True, Ads are everywhere. Their per click or per impression cost come down a lot and the volume has to make up for that. From that perspective, $META is just below 8|20 DMA, it can be heading back to 50 DMA potentially.
