I have two boys who want to become pilots, (one of whom also has ambitions of attending Princeton, though I told him he doesn't necessarily need that degree to become a pilot), which I don't think is a profession that will be replaced by AI anytime soon. Advertising rose by ~9% and daily active users gre ... - StockMarketMentor: $MSFT is pulling back on profit taking and that's impacting $FNGU, which is also starting to fill some of the gap. On the other hand, $META continues to run higher. So, there is a clear bifurcation between these two stocks. $META has more to run, $MSFT has some backing and filling to do. $QCOM -- bad earnings report and lousy open. But the stock is now back above the 50-day moving average. You can see clear support at $150ish. No position. --Dan

I really like this one as 1 of the few AI monetizers and am long from way below for literally decades, but it has run nearly 30% from last E along the 8d with only 2 small breaks which immediately recovered, implied move about $18. That's too hot (even for me) so I'll hold through but not add.
- phgruver: @shoredriver It's an old story, in Silicone Valley. Years ago, it was $MSFT raiding Borland (and others). They put Borland (Turbo Pascal, Turbo C) out of business. $MSFT also drove Netscape out of business. It's cutthroat out there! Makes me glad I live on the other coast..... :-)

- joelsg1: $MSFT Rolled Friday's short covered $400 calls up/out for credits, sold the May $387.50 puts for peanuts and let the short puts wither on the expiration vine, so while my posted hedge put spreads didn't work, I actually made a net profit on the trade as the short calls paid for the put spreads and I received credits for the rollout , plus my shares up $37.

- joelsg1: $AMZN $AAPL Both report tonight and are far more exposed to China and tariffs than $META and $MSFT yesterday, those aided by a large short squeeze today with reported 31.5M short shares $META and 51M short shares $MSFT as of last NASDAQ reporting. Not playing either over E with implied moves of about $7 for $AAPL and $10.50 $AMZN. Legacy long $AAPL from way below.

I will hold some $MSTR through, but I won't bet the farm. At least for me, the pain of a loss is greater than the pleasure of a gain, all things being equal.
