- kenb: @Angdionk $SQ and $PYPL too. Both of these fintechs have been sitting out of this rally and appear to be breaking out of their flat base this morning. Holding small positions in both to track.
- Angdionk: $SQ looking perky today even though its below its 50dma
- kenb: $AI been moving upwards for about 8 days, and bouncing off a rising 8d MVA. Now above all major averages with the 21d crossing above the 200d, with MVA's starting to curl upwards. Breaking out above psychological resistance of $30. Up about 3 1/2% today on news that they hired Sarah Friar as CFO and Kevin Weil as Chief Product Officer. Sarah Friar had recently been CEO of $KIND, and before that was a highly respected CFO of $SQ from 2012 to 2018. This stock is a little choppy, but is a forerunner for AI with backing from $MSFT. Long profitable position for me.

I used to trade much more frequently in the beginning/middle of my trading existence. I learned to be less frantic and more focused with my trades. I trade less now. Smarter, not harder. And, particularly in a bull market, let the winners do all the lifting. Don't keep looking for the next shiny thing. Allow the winners to work and don't be the tool of your own demise. Find good spots to add to on the pullbacks within uptrends for your winners. Let if flow and keep it going. The less interference and activity when the market is going well, the better IMO.

$QQQ -- Range bound for a while. Look for more sideways drift into January. It’s magical thinking to expect anything else.
Active Trade Ideas:
$LLY -- Stop hit at $359. Stock is still good, but I’m not gonna keep covering it.
$VRTX - ... - DAN: Adding $SQ to the active trade idea list. Careful on the entry here. But I like the way this sector is trading after the cool CPI number. Basis: 70.10 (Again, watch the open. The stock is up 6.5% pre-market and just might pull back for a better entry). Suggested stop: 64.70 --Dan
- DAN: @DAN $SQ The stock is stalling around $70. Again, be careful on this entry. We could see a deeper pullback. As I see the stock trade, I don't think you need to hurry to buy the stock. The high is 71.12, which isn't that much higher than the current price. If the stock moves through that number though, we could see a significant move higher today.
