Therefore, I'm taking it off the list. $AMZN -- I'm taking this off the ATI list. Simply put, it's dead money right now. Additions: $BKNG -- as noted earlier, basis is 4075 and stop is at 3929. $XLF -- Adding $XLF to the ATI list as a sector tracker. Basis: 42.97. Stop at $41.30. One comment about $MU: $MU is testing the 50-day moving average. Support continues to hold at current levels, but this stock is looking pretty sluggish. - DrScience: $GS has been in a less-than 6% VS for the past 20 trading days. Today the stock has moved above the breakout level ($464.08) on strength in the financial sector ($XLF). Earnings are set to be released on 7/15 BMO. While an analyst downgrade makes an option play a bit tricky, the possibility the stock could run higher into earnings militates for a long BuCS trade. - Nepenthe: @scottrades, et al. $XLF On the subject of 'green', is it just me, or do the financials look good here? I've scrolled through all the big boys ($WFC has actually broken out) and all the charts look attractive, all above their moving averages. I don't know how earnings went for them, but as the market implodes, they seem on the verge of exploding. I actually bought some $FAS with a tight stop below today's low. Am I reading this wrong? Literally on a beach in Maui, I checked in with my wife's smartphone--I'm allowed but a dumb one--and noticed our stop on $XP got hit, 24.50, low of day, 24.43. Well, in a bit of a Mai Tai fit, I bought it right back, with a stop at LOD. I imagine you consider it still a viable trade? Also, I'm surprised there's not much talk about financials. They seem to be doing well and after yesterday's pull back to the 21 day, in a Pina Colada fit I bought back some $FAS. Opinion on them? Or anyone? I'm running up one hell of a bigbartab here and need to pay it off. Aloha.

I have simplified my trading by staying at a higher level... mainly the index derivatives (1x triggering the 3x ETFs), and then the major sectors (the same, 1x triggering the 3x ETFs). Sometimes I'll trade some individual tickers... but that's not where I buy and sell in size, like I do at the index and sector level trades. I have enough trouble staying on top of indexes and sectors, let alone hundreds of individual stocks. Of course everyone has their druthers... developed over decades of trading. FWIW... all the best buddy... sounds like you are doing just fine at this crazy "job" we all decided to bite off! ==:O

- oldtimer: @bigbartabs $DJI #ETF-trader good morning . . monitoring the ETF's and very limited. $ITA, $ITB, $UNG, $XLF, $XLRE are the only ones that are at or above the 8 wk SMA. Nothing stands out to me at this point. If rates stabilize $XLRE might get interesting. Otherwise all cash here

Those sectors that their 1x ETF rise above the 8dema, I will take a starter position in their 3x in anticipation of going up. If they don't within a day or so... I drop them and move on. If they do rise, I wait for up a couple %, double it. No adding unless they are rising... and if they don't go up in a day or tow... I'm out, and on to something else. Despite the macro headwinds, I'm amazed by how resilient the tech sector is. $QQQ is still comfortably above the 200 Day MA and even Bitcoin is holding steady as it consolidates between the 50 Day and 200 Day. On the other hand, the banking sector $ ... - oldtimer: @Bartabs . . went through the list today . . $DJ-30, $GDX close, $RUTAX squeezing, SMH close, $UNG,$XOP I have been missing $XLF as being over but it dropped below recently. The only one that could be worth starting a position is $DJI, that bounced off of the 200dma. All the best...
