Lots of earnings this week, including $TGT, $BURL, $TJX, and $ROST. After $WMT's big number last week, I'll be interested to see how these retailers make out. $CAVA also reports on Thursday, along with Intuit ($INTU). These are all stocks to moni ... - debeers: JUST 1 change- had to let $BA go. Do i think that it will ultimately get its act together? Yup. i just dont think i am going to live long enough $AEM $ANF- kepp through the earnings on the 28th. Why? Fran doesn't let you down. Not now/Not ever. $LLY this is just a setback not a trend. $RACE-still vroom vroom. When you cannot make as many as folks want.THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A HIGH CLASS PROBLEM. $TOL- always makes it numbers and reports tomorrow. $TSLA- for now ok. Just make sure you relook before earnings. $WMT- when the folks in my neck of the woods shjop there, i take notice of that. Meanwhile the ee's get to buy their own stock.

- phgruver: @PhilHarmonic @Henry $WBA The neighborhood drug store has been preempted by $WMT and $TGT by offering longer hours, better product selection and lower prices. They are going the way of the neighborhood hardware store (driven under by $HD and $LOW). I still get my drugs from $CVS, but they are located inside my local Target, not a free standing store.
- champ: #Computerized-trading....computers have been at work, opening-up entries....and they always trigger...force Investors and Traders out of their positions, so they can pick-up nice new Entries...... ....for me, for Now, I'm staying away from the tech sector, however that might change at some point, so I will wait....... ....could Wait and Watch the #CopyCat-buyers for Entries....or could take a few Entries and Wait for them to take positions in your stocks. $BURL...seems like this Retailer has been in play and I'm still holding my Investment position...and $WMT continues to work also........ .....however $OLLI is down a little this morning. - champ: $OLLI at $74....and BofA Securities came out on 5/6, with a Buy rating and a $92 price target........and they said that this Discount Store chain, will Benefit from Retail store closers and bankruptcies and then resale at lower prices than $AMZN and $WMT........ .....(because they go in and buy all of their merchandise at Fire-sale-prices and then resale at their stores) ...They will be reporting earnings on around 6/5. I'm holding a position. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

- debeers: $WMT-If you just work for a company and it gets ripped off by the usual lowlife scumbags, that's one thing---BUT AND ITS A BIG BUTT(so to speak!) what if he is stealing from YOU? $WMT made it possible with cutting its shares to allow employees to be owners which they couldn't afford to do at the pre split shares price. I think people will work their asses offr who work there because NOW they will look at the thieves as folks stealing from them. Want a motivational tool? Baby, this is it!

I cannot claim to be a frequent visitor but i did go into the one near me recently after the split date was announced to buy pepper spray because i have to go into a cr ... - debeers: $WMT- Goldman Sachs goes to 193 from 180 BMO Capital goes to 195 from 190 Telsey Advisory- goes to 205 from 185 IMO-Walmart checked all of the boxes i use. The economy migh t be grim for awhile and its Wally's World and we are all living in it.

- DrScience: $WMT is working through the 7th trading day in a 5% Volatility Squeeze at the 200 DMA, threatening to break higher. Consumer appetite for continuing to spend, spend, spend in the New Year has yet to materialize, but if/when the company reports holiday sales better than expected, the stock could see a nice push through the overhead 50 DMA at 159 and start to fill the $8 earnings gap down from mid-November.

- Forexpro: Re: $AMZN Hi, Friends, Bloomberg.com, observing that Amazon Prime subscriptions in the U.S. have flatlined in part due to cheaper competition from $WMT ($98 vs $139 plus a lower threshold for free grocery delivery) reports that my friends in Seattle are negotiating with several carriers to provide free or low-cost ($10/month?) mobile phone service to members. Negotiations are supposedly ongoing with $VZ, $TMUS and $DISH. Not surprised to see that discussions are no longer happening with my $T pals. Not sure what sense this makes even if it comes to fruition in some form, but I'm generally interested in Amazon's shenanigans. $DISH is up nicely pre-market, $T and $TMUS down, $VZ flattish.
