- bill52: @Boogie $SI I'd say its not worth messing with this one anymore. I was having some luck trading the swings on it prior to their announcing that they will be liquefying the company. I gave back a good chunk of my gains but managed to salvage a small net profit on it overall. To my last understanding, they do not have a buyer and will ultimately go under. If that's still the case, I'm amazed its still up around $2. It will trade down to near or at zero and then will cease to trade when the accountants shut off the lights and lock the door. I believe the latest bounce in SI has been in sympathy (and hope) to the First Citizens buyout of SVB. Purely speculative gambling at this point.

The bank said it was forced to sell $5.2 billion in debt to cover withdrawals and recorded a in a $718 million loss in the fourth quarter on that sale.

- Forexpro: @gilbertdbg Hey, Gilbertdbg, Not hearing "big banks", but some investors seem likely to get dinged. Hedge funds Sequoia and Paradigm made sizable contributions to FTX, Softbank Vision and Temasek (Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, a player) have also been noted as having skin in the game. They're now being skinned. One of our colleagues (@Sgiseller) mentioned the enterprising Ontario Teachers retirement fund, as well. $SI has grown pretty rapidly as a bank specializing in crypto, but I haven't seen the name mentioned as having direct financial exposure. - woodman: @bogiedog1 $SI #Blockchain - I've just not been able to participate given some personal matters taking up my time, including my son in the hospital with a perforated appendix. No reason to believe he won't be fine, but it's been a lot of time dealing with that, visiting him (on shifts with my wife and older daughter to make sure he has plenty of visitors - mine starts back up this afternoon), etc. Plus a few other things hitting at the same time. And we're supposed to go on vacation starting Sunday which we may have to scrap depending on guidance from the doctors. (Advice, get travel insurance for any vacations!) Life has a way of intervening in an untimely fashion.
