- joelsg1: $TSLA $LCID dove at open on worse than expected deliveries of their overpriced EVs. $TSLA dropped as well which, while nonsensical, is indicative of very negative sentiment. Could be setting up for a surprise reaction to generally known E Wed. Plenty long but I might take a through E flyer, which I'll post. Debating whether to rely on Musk not screwing up the call and maybe giving believable guidance.
- Docoof: @joelsg1 $TSLA $LCID In a certain way, I don’t think the drop was nonsensical at all. The fact that so many press outlets continue to, and appear eager to, label what transpired as a “recall” is indicative of how many people must have no idea what that actually means or implies with respect to Tesla versus any other car company. On the other hand, it obviously is nonsensical to those who know what in fact is meant by a Tesla “recall.”
- champ: @Docoof $TSLA $LCID...Exactly, however this is a re-call but basically it is a non-issue...because it appears to be some faulty sensors, that are causing the warning light problems, that might need to be replaced...and Now it will be corrected.

Not the so-called recall, meant down initially on the $LCID miss, nonsensical because they 'compete' at the high end, but not really given LCID's price. Shorted $LCID from time to time, but always aware of the Saudi put, so not for long. Meant the drop was indicative of overly negative sentiment on $TSLA.

- debeers: $LCID- So about a week ago i was getting my nails done and today 1.Aston Martin Lagonda confirms it has entered into an agreement with California-based Lucid Motors for the supply of electric powertrain and battery technology. Lucid will receive a 3.7% stake in Aston Martin in exchange for “high performance” technology, Reuters reported.3 days ago 2. Remember we say that officers of a corp sell their stock for many reasons but they ONLY buy for 1 reaspon: they think their stock wioll go up and guess what LCID 10% owner bought about 266 mln shares worth approx. $1.8 bln. Appropos of nothing: One of $TSLA's engineers last year went to work for Lucid specifically to assist Aston Martin. His wife gets her nails done where i do.. i didn't think anything of it at the time........... You can learn a lot at the nail salon.

- joelsg1: $TSLA Annoying to see talking heads on CNBC saying $TSLA should be valued on a P/E basis like a car company, like $F and $GM at 5 P/E. Leaving aside the sales and EPS growth rates and multiple non-auto shots on goal, energy generation and storage, software and even robotics, consider the Altman Z score, developed by NYU Stern professor Edward Altman in the 1960s as a quantifiable predictor of impending bankruptcy for manufacturing companies with an impressive track record. A score below 1.8 is bad, signifying impending bankruptcy, above 3 safe from BK. GM and F score around 1.2, $RIVN around 1.6, $LCID 0.2, while $TSLA currently scores above 8. On this basis alone, there are ample reasons why $F and $GM have low single digit P/Es, not shared by $TSLA.
