Doesn’t imply profits go up only sales which I guess could eventually turn into higher profits whne / if tariffs come down . Reminds me when I was in the Aluminum Extrusion business . Sales manager brought us a very difficult shape to produce . We calculated run rate etc and we would lose about .20 a pound . His reply , but this is a multi million $ order ! My comment , that means we lose a shitload of money then .

There are a handful of things where they have the best selection and price, though, so we make a reluctant visit once every month, or two (maybe three....) The problem is, however, that every retailer is heading down the same path, in an effort to reduce overhead and slippage. The combination of self-service and self-checkout doesn't make for a very satisfactory shopping experience. (IMHO, of course.)

- scottrades: Team, it's becoming increasingly clear that the market is viewing Tariffs, trade policy and budget cuts are causing growth to slow and inflation to rise. Despite that we're seeing the Dollar Fall and the TNX Fall. That means the market could be considering Stagflation as a potential outcome. We had previously seen strong Earnings hold up the market. I think when $WMT guided lower the market took notice.
