- phgruver: Don't loose sight of technology! The $QQQ, $XLK and $SMH all made decent moves, today, albeit on lower volume. $SMH has a lot of overhead to chew through, and both $QQQ and $XLK are right up at resistance, but the last 2 day's price action has been positive.

- DAN: @bigbartabs $NVDA $XLK $MSFT $AAPL Zzzzactly. Because I am definitely not back at full speed. Not by any stretch of the imagination. At 66, I just don't recover from these major overhauls like I used to. So I've got to be taking care of myself. There were many years that I was the only contributor to SMM and OMM (pre-Bridget). And I can assure you that the workload was crushing and I made a lot of personal sacrifices that I would never ask anyone else to make. We are in a different world these days. We now have 4 contributors (Scott, @TraderGeekSam (Sam), @whitepath (Andy), and me. There's no reason for anyone to be overworked. Focus on quality rather than quantify. At least that's my approach.

I've got an awesome CEO with a team of experts who are handling a lot of things that, without them, would either not be getting done at all, or I would be doing them. But it's hard to take my hands off the reins, even though I need to be. So I'm a work in progress...but it's definitely a priority.

- phgruver: FWIW, last week's action in $QQQ and $XLK brought them back to the 20DMA, creating a tight Bollinger Band squeeze. They are a bit extended from the 200DMA, though, so caution is merited. A pullback to the 50DMA may be buy-able, but look for confirmation ....

- vitoB: @Auto $ON I’ve taken off what I added an hour ago. And I’ve been selling my $CLSK. It bothers me that $XLK is underperforming. Prob anxiety over $AAPL earnings but $GOOG and $META seem to be the funds that are going to any broadening positions. I bought some $META at 310. But this market is very fickle. And the past Fridays have taught me to lighten up before the weekend early.

No system is perfect... but I've found that finding a process that matches up with what the majority / herd of seasoned traders stay within, is what you can depend on most. Also, $UNG is tough, since it doesn't correlate well with 3x $BOIL I always track the 4 index pairs... $DJI/$UDOW, $SPX/$SPXL, $NDX/$TQQQ, $RUT/$TNA... of which none are even close to the 8dema. The only one that could be worth starting a position is $DJI, that bounced off of the 200dma. All the best...

I actually read through years of your posts to learn how to trade the triple leveraged ETFs. But there is one point that I could not figure out: Is it your strategy to rotate in and out every day with 1/3 of the position size you’ve allotted to a 3x ETF because of settlement date (T %2B 2) type issues? I think I understand what you do, just not why you bother doing it instead of just holding when it’s working fine. I hope that makes sense.

If only one or two sectors were in uptrends, we would be worried, but the strength in things like $ARKK $XLK $SMH and subsequent ... - bigbartabs: @vitoB $SOXL $AMAT $KLAC $LRCX $ASML ... something to watch when having significant pullbacks... is to watch for a shallow pullback to the 8dema (day), looking for a bounce... but also with bigger pullbacks (like today) a deeper pullback to the 8wema (week). Example... today both the $SMH and the $XLK did so and bounced. Algorithms seem to like those points to reverse. FWIW...
