Again, why buy until quiet period over and E which could surprise to upside on 1/25. Put 3/1 Investor Day on calendar when they said they'd discuss new Gen. 3 platform (smaller, cheaper car) and capital allocation (buybacks).

- vcondry: @LeAf $TSLA your thesis makes sense but I would stick with something where your losses are capped such as a put or $TSLS shorting Tesla can really mess your whole account up if it gets some wild catalyst to run up. So far its holding pretty strong. Any close below $120 you could go bearish any close close to $122 i would probably not buy it but i wouldnt go against it. just my $.02
- vcondry: @Jim88 $TSLA #positive #negative Amazing how Elon's mouth has caused not only the stock to collapse but also the resell value of Tesla's in general. Everyone forgets about SpaceX and Starlink (huge aid lifeline to Ukraine) and focuses only on the current crap he is spewing forth. I agree she's a bit of an a$$ on CNBC. Looks like we might see $100 today. $TSLS and or puts will be the play...look out below. I do plan on buying some back eventually as I do believe in the company...just not the chart.

- woodman: $TSLS $TSLA - Still have some $TSLS (trimmed some this morning), which I mentioned back in November (mentioning to keep watch for $TSLA rollover at the 8dEMA - it went a few more days higher into the 21dEMA, then rolled over, massively, having not closed above the 8dEMA since 12/2). But I'm not yet just selling out of this completely. TSLA is an inside day thus far (and losing altitude after the opening pop) and still can't even get over the 5dEMA. In fact, since 12/2, it has only once closed above the 5dEMA (on 12/9) and the was a just barely, with a rejection at the 8dEMA just above it.

- vitoB: $TSLA when this turns its going to move quick. the $TSLS is almost 20% above the 50d on an hourly chart. the RSI is 17, almost all neg headlines and "cold " videos have been played on production. a stock rarely has 7 consecutive full red bars on the chart, all not reasons why the turn is now, but thats how im playing it. long at an avg of ~114 on the day, so this is in the red right now , think theres 14 down 40 up risk reward from these levels.

- champ: @joelsg1 $DJIA $TSLA $TSLS #easy-way......All I'm doing is watching $TSLA and $TSLS....and I agree with you because my guess is....I also think that when $TSLA turns, it will really be fast, like a rocket...... .....and the Odds have to be, that the turn won't happen until next year, however it is sure possible, that maybe in the last few minutes of this year, could get some happy go-lucky swingers....that would want to jump the gun..because this stock has to be spring-loaded for a bounce...however that being said, nothing that sticks out like a sore-thumb, like this does,.....never really goes as expected, most of the time, however like I said, I will be watching, as the trading clock ticks-down to the End of the Year.

Feeling OK about stock and those short $100 puts, not so much my way otm calls which I dumped last week for tax loss, with such large short interest, margin calls and institutional buyers waiting for numbers in Jan., and no company comms., there are no rational buyers which accelerates downside. But, I think you're right, when this turns, survives smackdown and exceeds that level, lots of juice to quick upside, perhaps before New Year.

- bigbartabs: @woodman $TSLA $TSLS ... that article certainly explains it. I've been using 3x ETFs for years... not only for trading, but holding for multiple days. I've even held 3x ETFs for multiple weeks... not often, but in certain market bull conditions. But doing that same leverage on a single stock's performance... with no spreading of risk across multiple inherit ETF tickers... I think that could bring a disastrous 3x "FTX" like event. Leveraging 500 $SPX stocks 3x... or 30 $DJI stocks... or 100 $NDX stocks... or 2000 $RUT stocks... or any number of sector level 3x ETFs... those are a far cry BIG spread of risk, than a 3x TSLA, or 3x Apple... with a sudden unexpected event at the single firm level. Algorithms could take that 3x single firm ETF into the dirt in a matter of seconds.
