My question: Is the SPY price action reflective of the price changes of the individual stocks within the ETF or is it from institutions and traders buying/selling the ETF? Or, a combination of both? Just something I have wondered not just applying to SPY but other indexes as well. I just so happen to pay extra attention to the SPY.
I am thinking a combination of both, but to what degree?
