COTD: BABA – breakout still intact. Tough market…stock is still in play.

 

SPX – Yellen at 2 pm ET tomorrow

DJI – flat

DIS – upgraded…broke out…and settled in. Too extended, with virtually no “base” from which to spring higher.

USO – probably bottomed today as a trading low.

MPC – better than most. Alert $52.00

DJT

  1. UAL – Buffett has left the building.
  2. AAL – 200-day MA test.
  3. UNP – topping? Too early to tell.
  4. NSC – at 50-day MA. Key technical area.

COMPQX

MDY – holding at 50dma

USO – Extended to even number.

Tech:

  1. MPWR – alert
  2. SANM – MS 250 growth
  3. MKSI – Strong turnaround in sales and earnings.

 

Social:

  1. EA – Breaking out of handle pattern.
  2. ATVI – pretty extended
  4. MOMO – testing highs.

 

Biotech:

  1. AZN – breakin gout of squeeze
  2. CLVS – 23% of float is short.
  3. TSRO – 50% of float is short.

 

Misc.:

  1. TSLA – new compact SUV? Rumor. Possible short set up for the bold and brave. Very crowded short.
  2. BWA – auto parts working.
  3. LEA – auto parts working.
  4. ROST – 100-day MAS
  5. PLAY – pulled back to test support. Consolidation since December…gap has held.

 

Requests:

  1. NXPI – yes, it is a slow mover. Only for the patient. (I prefer AVGO for longer term…but can’t go wrong with either one)
  2. JNUG – compare to JDST
  3. DUST
  4. EDU – consolidating. Not sure where catalyst is. Very volatile
